Cowboys riding hot

Cowboys riding hot - Somehow, some way, we’re in week 7 of the NFL season and the Dallas Cowboys have the best record in football. I would have bet my life at the beginning of the season that we would be a bottom five team and yet here we are.

The Cowboys are currently riding a six-game win streak after picking up wins over three tough teams thought to be playoff contenders this season. In week five, the Cowboys flexed their muscle on the Cincinnati Bengals, beating them by the score of 28-14 in Dallas to improve to 4-1.

In week six, the Cowboys traveled to the notoriously difficult place for road teams to win, Lambeau Field, to take on the Green Bay Packers, a proven team with one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, Aaron Rodgers, under center. Rookie quarterback Dak Prescott proved the stage was not too big for him as he led the Cowboys 30-16 road win.

In week seven, Dallas took down division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, 29-23 in a slugfest between the two NFC East foes. Prescott accounted for three touchdowns to move the Cowboys to 6-1 on the season in a shock to even the most optimistic Dallas fans.
