Dark day in Dallas

Dark day in Dallas  - The start of the NFL season couldn't have gotten off to a worse start for the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.

In the Cowboys’ third PRESEASON game against the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Tony Romo suffered a fracture in his L1 vertebrae in his back while being tackled behind. This come less than a year after  breaking his left collarbone twice in 2015 kept him out nearly the entire season.

Tony Romo’s list of injuries suffered throughout his career is extensive and to be honest, quite scary. It started with a broken pinkie in 2008, a broken left collarbone in 2010, a ruptured disk in 2013, two transverse process fractures in his back in 2014, breaking the same left collarbone twice in 2015 and now fracturing a vertebrae. For Romo’s own sake, future health and well-being, I hope this is the last we’ve seen of number 9 playing quarterback.

With Tony Romo injured, this team is sure to be one of the worst in the NFL for a second season in a row without their leader under center. Now, rookie fourth round pick Dak Prescott will man the quarterback position and hopefully he’s not as bad as what the Cowboys had last year filling in for Romo.

Dallas fans, while football and alcohol go together peanut butter and jelly, I encourage you to double up on the drinkage because the 2016-2017 season for the Cowboys is not going to be good. At all.
