Start of the season

Start of the season - The beginning of the 2016-2017 NFL regular season is here and the Cowboys could have done much worse.

The buzz around the Cowboys and rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott has been loud and Dallas fans are more optimistic than I imagined for a team that has been a shit show for the past three or four years.

In week one, the Dallas hosted the New York Giants for a rivalry game between NFC East conference opponents. The Cowboys scored first but went into halftime trailing the G-Men 9-13 behind three Dan Bailey field goals.

In the second half, Ezekiel Elliott scored his first career NFL touchdown in his first game action after missing the preseason with a hamstring injury. That wasn’t enough as the Giants pulled out the victory 20-19 on the back of three Eli “Mouth Breather” Manning touchdowns.

The Cowboys had a shot to go ahead at the end but in classic Cowboys fashion, a receiver made a boneheaded play and ruined everything for Dallas in their home opener. Classic.

In week two, the Cowboys take on another division rival in the Washington Redskins. Hopefully we don’t blow that one too.
